The Silk Scarf

 The setting of the story is the Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg, a shopping centre where shops are owned by Indian people.
 
The plot of the story is: the two friends Mrs Nebo and Margaret went shopping. They were shopping expedition and entered the portals of the plaza. They bought some merchandises. They were having two escorts to protect them during their shopping. Mrs Nebo decided to buy a lovely Indian dress. They went to Moghul Boutique to buy a silk scarf that can match a dress that she bought. There was a conflict between Mrs Nebo and the shopkeeper. Mrs Nebo was not having enough cash to pay for the silk scarf. Mr Sakur was having a law in his business that says: " I do not accept cheques."  Other shopkeepers heard the shouting in Mr Sakur's business and they had all come to listen. They were all on Mrs Nebo's side, because she was the wife of the Foreign Affairs Minister in the new government ( Mr Clive Nebo ). Finally, the dispute was dissolved when Mr Sader gave Mr Sakur the money for the scarf and give it to Mrs Nebo as a gift from the traders in Oriental Plaza.

The main character is Mrs Nebo. She is a wife to Mr Clive Nebo. She is a friend to Margaret. she was slight with a lovely smile and teeth. She was of medium height and with heavy loins. She has a smooth-skinned complexion having been pampered by beauticians in Sandton salons. She use to wear clothes whose colors blended harmonlously. She is rich.
